Meet our three new recruits!

In September, we at Nicoka had the immense pleasure of welcoming three new recruits, ready to take on every challenge with a smile. Whether it's driving a marketing strategy, conquering new markets or coding innovative solutions, they are going to be real heroes in action for Nicoka.

In this article, we introduce these new talents who are going to set their missions on fire (no damage, we promise)! 🔥

PS: We already love them, and we're sure you will love them too!

🌍 Amorine, Rohan & Mahora, tell us, where are you from?

Amorine: I'm from Baugé, a small town in the Anjou countryside.

Angers is a bit like my second home. I've known this beautiful city and its castle since I was little.

Rohan: I'm Angevin through and through, but I have English roots.
My heart is torn between tea at 4pm and a nice crusty baguette! 🇫🇷🇬🇧

Mahora: I'm from Cholet, a town in the heart of the Pays de la Loire region.

🤔 How did you end up in the Nicoka melting pot?

Amorine: I was looking for a work-study placement (alternance) and regularly checked the job offers being published. I saw the one for my current role, applied, got a call back and was then offered an interview. I was offered the job, I accepted, and here I am :)

Rohan: I received the job ad through my school and, without a second thought, I emailed Rayhana, who is Business Analyst Manager at Nicoka, to tell her I was really interested. A few days later, after an interview, I got the magic call: I was in!

Mahora: While I was looking for a work-study placement, someone close to me sent me Nicoka's job ad, and I went for it and applied. After a technical interview where I was able to show what I could do, I was selected for the adventure. 💪

🎓 Which degree are you currently studying for?

Amorine: I'm doing a Master's in Marketing Strategy & Digital Communication at MBway.
Everything to do with marketing and digital comms! 📢

Rohan: I'm studying for a Master's in Management & International Business at MBway too.
A degree that combines sales, strategy and management on an international scale. 🌍

Mahora: I'm studying for a Bachelor's in Web Development with MyDigitalSchool.

A field that requires a good dose of logic and creativity. 💻

🎯 What projects or tasks are you working on?

Amorine: I take care of updating the websites, SEO, content creation for social media, thevisual identity of Nicoka, and so on. Needless to say, I'm never bored!

Rohan: I work on projects such as business prospecting, competitive analysis and also a market study.

Mahora: I've started working on a project for customisable matching.

💗 What do you enjoy most about your work?

Amorine: I love the variety of my tasks. Every day is different, and I'm discovering lots of new things in the world of “tech”, a world I knew very little about before I arrived here. It's really stimulating! 🚀

Rohan: I appreciate the team's open-mindedness, and the fact that I learn lots of new things every day.

Mahora: It's very different from my previous work-study placement: here, I work with people from the profession who help me improve. The work is much less solitary! 🤝

✨ If you had to describe the atmosphere at Nicoka in one word?

Amorine: Friendly, everyone gets on well.

Rohan: Cool and serious at the same time.

Mahora: Warm, you feel at ease straight away.

💬 A quote that inspires you every day?

Amorine: "If you can dream it, you can do it.", Walt Disney.

🦸🏼‍♂️🦸🏼‍♀️ If you were a superhero at work, which one would you be?

Amorine: Spider-Man for his agility and speed. I'd love to be able to jump from one task to another as fast as he swings his web from one building to the next! 🕸️

Rohan: Tony Stark, aka Iron Man. Charismatic, a genius engineer, and a fine suit of armour to boot. 🦾

Mahora: The Flash! His speed would be perfect for churning out lines of code at full speed, solving problems in the blink of an eye and meeting deadlines without ever getting stressed. 🏃‍♀️⚡

☕ Team tea, coffee or something else?

Amorine: Both, it's impossible to choose!

Rohan: Coffee, without hesitation, the basic fuel.

Mahora: Team hot chocolate 🍫, sorry to all the tea and coffee lovers!

💻 Remote working or office?

Amorine: Office, I love being surrounded by the team, it's more motivating.

Rohan: Office too, for the team's energy.

Mahora: Office, for direct exchanges with colleagues as well.

🎶 What's your motivational song of the moment?

Amorine: Run Boy Run, Woodkid, a hugely motivating track!

Rohan: Can’t Stop, Red Hot Chili Peppers, a good classic that gives you a boost.

Mahora: Racoons, Caravan Palace, a bit of electro-swing to stay in a good mood!
